William Suffell


William Suffell (#105) and Ann Millington (#106)

William was born on 31st October 1859 and was the son of Anthony Suffell (#534) and Eliazbeth 
Tinkler (#535). He died on 26th January 1937, aged 77, and was buried in 
plot 2399, Cross Flatts Cemetery, Leeds on 30th January 1937.  

Ann, who was born on 18th April 1863 at 6, Princes Place in Hunslet, was the daughter of John 
Millington (#162) and Fanny Crossley(#163). She died on 30th November 1949 aged 86 and was 
buried next to William on 3rd December 1949.

William and Ann were married on 22nd April 1884 in Leeds Parish Church.  The service was 
conducted, after banns, by R J Heygate and was witnessed by William Alfred Jason Wilson and 
Annie Eliza Wilson.

William's occupation was given on Fanny's birth and marriage certificates as Engineer 
(Iron Turner).

William was living at his brother Anthony's house in Caroline Street at the time of his marriage.  
Ann was married from New Wortley in Leeds.  

When Fanny Lizzie was born they were living at 37 Gordon Street, Holbeck.  The subsequently 
moved to Willoughbys Rd and in 1909 they moved to 39 Littletown Lane, Holbeck and resided there 
for the rest of their lives. 

William and Ann's children:
     i    Ann Gertrude Crossley Suffell (#156) was born on the 27th of November 1884.
     ii   Fred Suffell (#154) was born in 1889.
     iii  Florence May Suffell (#155) was born in 1891.
     iv   Fanny Lizzie Suffell (#8) was born on 2nd February 1897.
