Charles Johnson


Charles Johnson (#243) and Fortune Anne Price (#244)

Charles was born on 1st September 1844 at 2 Court, Great Hampton Street. Charles was the son 
of Thomas Johnson(#251) and Sarah Ann Meers (#252).
Fortune Anne was the daughter of John Price (#249) and Mary Jones (#250) and was born on 25th
April 1844 in Kington, Radnor.

Charles and Fortune Anne were married on 5th July 1863 in All Saints Parish Church, Birmingham.
At the time of their marriage Charles was living in Hospital St. Handsworth and Fortune Anne 
was living in Upper Hospital Street, Handsworth. On the marriage certificate Fortune Anne was 
spelt 'Fortune Ann'.

At the time of their marriage Charles worked as a Gun Implement Maker and Fortune worked as a 
Photograph Case Maker.

In 1863 when Harry was born, Charles' occupation was given as Pistol Filer Journeyman. In 1889, 
when Harry was married, it was given as Gun Action Finisher.

Their children
     i    Harry Johnson (#107) was born on the 30th of November 1863.
