Henry Buttery and Mary Eastland

Henry Buttery (#269) and Mary Eastland (#270)

Henry was born in early August 1832 in Swillington and was baptised on 2nd August 1832 in
Swillington. 

Mary was born on 18th March 1835 in Bellingham, Northumberland and baptised on 9th August
1835 in Bellingham. She died in Hunslet on December 1902 aged 67.

The 'Family Register' shows Henry and Mary were married in Swillington on 16th April. No year 
is given but it is supposed that 1858 is correct.

In the 1861 census Henry and Mary were shown as living on Swillington Common along with
Harriet Maria and George.

Henry worked as a blacksmith and between 1863 and 1869 moved to Hunslet.  In 1887 Henry and
Mary were living at 192 Dewsbury Road, Hunslet. 

Henry and Mary's children:
     i    Harriet Maria Buttery (#208) was born on 18th October 1858 in Swillington and was
          baptized by Rev. A.J.N. Woodeford.  She died on 10th July 1951.
     ii   George Buttery (#209) was born on 27th December 1860 and died on 7th May
          1864.  He was buried on the same day in Swillington.
     iii  John William Buttery (#34) was born on 11th April 1863 in Swillington. 
     iv   Frank Buttery (#210) was born on 11th January 1865. Frank died on 16th
          November 1936, aged 71. He is buried in Bridlington.  
     v    Arthur Buttery (#211) was born on 15th April 1867 and died in December 1867. 
     vi   Mary Ann Buttery (#212) was born on 12th June 1869 in Hunslet. Mary Ann died on
          29th March 1870 and was buried in Swillington.
     vii  George Frederick Buttery (#213) born on 8th January 1877, died on 10th May 1954
          and was buried in Doncaster. Was he the founder of the  Broseley Branch?
