Thomas Brook


Thomas Brook (#515) and Mary Newell (#516) 

Thomas and Mary were married in Leeds Parish Church on the 9th of November 1839.  They were
married, after banns, by J.W. Clarke, Lecturer, and their wedding was witnessed by Joseph Sharpe
and William Jowett.

Thomas was a widower at the time of the marriage, his occupation given as Clothier and he was
living in Holbeck; Mary was a spinster and living in Chapel Allerton.  Both ages were given as
'fullage'.

In 1841, when Martha was born, they were living in Charles Street, Hunslet and Thomas was still
working as a Clothier. 

In September 1861, when Martha was married, they were living at 10, Trent St, Brewery Field,
Hunslet Moor and Thomas's occupation was given as Grocer.

Thomas and Mary's children:
     i    Martha Brook (#204) born on 7th September 1841.
